Yes, there is an open seat on the board for an LHP representative.

The board’s function is to protect the public.  If a complaint is filed against a licensed practitioner, the board of peers will determine the outcome.

Practitioners should continue to obtain liability insurance through the various available insurance companies. HAAZ is working to notify insurance companies of this new license.

Additionally, this license now gives consumers a base to lobby health insurance carriers for homeopathy coverage as a licensed modality.

Yes, the law states that someone who has gone to an accredited school (by ACHENA or equivalent) and has passed the CHC exam (or equivalent) may apply for a license.

Additionally, the HPLEX exam through North American Homeopathy Examiners (NAHE) is now an approved exam for licensure.

A Grandfather Clause is in place for those who received their CCH before there were accredited schools.

The CHC exam is currently accepted for those who have graduated from an ACHENA accredited school.

The HPLEX is also accepted.

Licensure is the next step in the growing field of Homeopathy in the US, beyond professional registration and board certification.

Licensure is a state-sanctioned credential recognized and trusted by consumers and which provides legal protection and recourse for clients.

The US differs from many countries in the world who already have licensure for homeopaths. Arizona has already taken steps to protect MD’s and DO’s who want to have integrated medical practices (as well as protecting the public) through the MD(H) license.

Now, Arizona has taken the step to protect homeopathy and further the profession by licensing well trained Professional Homeopathy Practitioners.

The law states the CHC exam or equivalent. The Board has also approved the HPLEX exam through North American Homeopathy Examiners (NAHE)

Yes, the AZ license is available to any legal US resident but you will need to continue to follow the laws in your state.

If someone files a complaint against you, it will be addressed through the AZ Licensing Board as well as any applicable agencies in your state.

Be sure to review the Laws in your state regarding Telehealth.

In Arizona, you may review Telehealth.az.gov – Chapter 36. https://telehealth.az.gov/

HAAZ may be able to help you if you desire to move your state forward, or to use the Arizona law as a base.

You may still practice homeopathy in Arizona under the Arizona Exemption to the Law; being licensed is NOT required for practice in Arizona.
